Face Shapes
In the make up industry the goal is to create the ideal Oval face shape…
There are many face shapes however we have covered the most common face shapes: triangle, square, circle and oval.
Professional makeup artists generally use bronzers, shaders and highlighters to achieve a professional finish. RADIESSENCE is an easy, versatile and professional make up that lets you create a similar professional finish with just one product.
For an evening look the RADIESSENCE Loose Powder Body Bronzer can be used over the blusher area to add the extra sparkle.
Use the RADIESSENCE Pressed Powder Bronzer for the highlighter area.
For the shader use the RADIESSENCE Foundation by using a dab of the shade up from the shade used on the clients skin.
Skin Tone Chart
This chart will help you determine whether you have cool or warm undertones, when selecting which shade of the Pressed Powder Bronzer or Loose Powder Bronzer. Select your skin colour, then determine whether your skin is warm or cool. The most common assumption is that someone with fair skin has cool undertones and that darker skin has warm undertones. People with Fair skin can have the same warm undertones as someone with darker skin or vice versa.

RADIESSENCE Bronzers provide a smooth and even application on all skin tones. It is perfect for enhancing a skin tone or straightening a tan. The powder bronzers are easily applied on the whole body – especially on the face.

For perfect application use the RADIESSENCE telescopic brush. This specially designed, high quality brush allows you to create a soft dusting.
- Dab the brush into the color; tap it on the back of your hand in order to remove any excess.
- Remember the golden rule of bronzers: LESS IS MORE.
- Apply the bronzer with attention to your cheekbones, chin, nose and around the eyes.
- Using a circular motion, start powder application on the cheek apple and brush on bronzing powder.
- Brush down lightly applying bronzer to each side of the nose and under the lower lip.
Additional Tips:
- For dry skin use the RADIESSENCE Invisible Finish foundation before applying the Bronzer.
- A bronzer should never be more than two shades darker than the skin’s natural color.
- A bronzer is meant to highlight those areas of the face that catch the sun. These include forehead, temple, cheekbones, nose and chin.
- Do not forget to pay attention to the neck and below the jaw to prevent a sudden change in skin contrast.
- To trim a full face – apply bronzer on a diagonal from cheek bones up to temple using half-moon shaped strokes.
- To soften an angular face – apply bronzer in a horizontal pattern from cheek bone to hairline using half-moon shaped strokes.
- For an all-over glow, swipe a small amount of bronzer over the forehead and chin for a harmonious look.
Foundation Makeup Tips
RADIESSENCE Invisible Finish is an SPF30 sunscreen, a foundation and concealer in one. There is no need for a separate concealer.
How to apply:
- Using the sponge smooth the foundation outwards over the entire face ending just below the jaw line. Always work from the centre of the face outwards, to avoid an accumulation of the foundation around the hairline-move from the cheeks to the ears, from between the brows down over the nose, from the chin out towards the jaw, then onto the neck. Work quickly, carefully and lightly.
- Use the fingertip or the blending brush to apply above and below the eye area.
- REMEMBER THE THREE BASIC RULES: BLEND, BLEND, BLEND.
- To complete the look dust the entire face and neck with the RADIESSENCE pressed powder (Bronzer). This will set the Invisible Finish foundation to give a soft natural colour and radiance.
Additional Tips:
The ideal facial shape is oval and by the clever use of dark and pale tones, every facial type can be made to appear oval.
- Round face: The round face is made to appear oval by using dark make up at the temples and around the lower face.
- Trapezoidal face: This can be made oval by redefining the lower part with dark foundation and using light make up at the temple.
- Rectangular and square face: These shapes are redefined by using dark foundation at four corners.
- Triangular face: This type of face needs the dark foundation at the temples while the lower face needs enlargement using light make up.
Correcting chin and nose:
- Long nose: It appears short by applying dark make up on the tip.
- Prominent chin: This can be corrected by applying foundation on tip of the chin.
- Double chin: This can be corrected by applying dark foundation on the double chin.
- Short nose: Apply a pale make up along the top of the nose along its whole length.
- Narrow nose: Apply dark foundation on both sides.
- Crooked nose: Cover the crooked side with a dark foundation and opposite side with light foundation.
Lip Luster Makeup Tips
The RADIESSENCE Lip Luster is the product that gives your makeup the finishing touch. It unites the colors you have used to bring your face alive.
Because our lips are the most sensual feature on our face, careful attention should be given to them when applying the Lip Luster. We recommend the following tips:
- Prior to applying your Lip Luster you should apply a light coat of foundation to your lips to act as a base and to help even out the color.
- Use a lip liner to give your lips a neatly defined edge. Use a lip liner that is not more than one shade darker than the Lip Luster.
- When it’s time to apply your Lip Luster, relax your mouth so it opens slightly. Apply your Lip Luster starting at the center of each lip working outwards.
- Finish off with a clear lip-gloss at the end. It makes your lips look fuller and also the lipstick lasts longer when you do so. It also adds that attractive sparkle to your lips.
Shaping your lips:
Knowing the shape of lips, you can correct your lip shape and can make you look attractive.
- For thick lips: This type of lip appear smaller if you draw the outline just within the natural shape. You must use medium toned lip color and avoid dark brows, plums and pale shimmer shades.
- For thin lips: They can be easily corrected by taking the pencil outside the natural lip line. Work on it slowly and steadily to get the perfect shape. Fill in with the lipstick. A highlight of frosting on the upper lip would create an impression of fullness.
- For shapeless lips: Try to make the most flattering shape by stressing the centre of the lips and then fill.
- The honey bronze light gives the lips a fuller appearance while the bronze dark makes the lips appear smaller.
